Outbreaker EA for MT5

Outbreaker trades breakouts from a configurable open range and combines pending orders, OCO, flexible stop/TP models and extensive position management.

Important before you start: Times are broker time. With dynamic risk and two simultaneously prepared directions, risk is split between them.

1. How Outbreaker works

Outbreaker is an open-range breakout EA. It measures the high and low from M1 data between RangeStart and RangeEnd, then prepares breakouts in both directions.

Build the range: default 09:01 to 09:59 broker time.
Pending orders: at 09:59:45 by default, a Buy Stop is placed above the range high and a Sell Stop below the range low; PendingBufferPoints can add extra distance.
Filters: optional MA, spread and maximum-range filters.
OCO: with AllowTwoActiveOrders=false, triggering one direction removes the opposite pending.
Management: optional break-even, trailing, partial close and time-based deletion/closing.

2. Quick start

Install the EA: Select File → Open Data Folder, place the EA file in MQL5/Experts, then refresh the Navigator.
Choose a chart: Open the desired broker symbol on an M1 or M5 chart and attach the EA. Version 5.15 rejects other chart timeframes.
Enable trading: Turn on Algo Trading and the EA's trading permission.
Allow the licence connection: Allow WebRequest for https://market-trader.de.
Review parameters: Check times, lot/risk settings, stops, magic number and filters before the first trade.
Test first: Check the strategy in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account with your own broker.

Risk modes

Risk_Fixed_Lot uses FixedLot. Risk_Percent uses RiskValue percent of balance; Risk_Money interprets RiskValue as a money amount. When both directions are prepared simultaneously, dynamic risk is divided between them.

Partial close

PartialClosePercent is the profit threshold relative to range size in this version, not the percentage of volume to close. The actual partial volume is determined by PartialCloseDivider.

4. Trading times and session

All times use broker/server time. The range can technically cross midnight; later actions are assigned to the corresponding session.

Automatic pending orders are placed only within an approximately 60-second window beginning at SendPendingAt. Remaining pendings can be deleted from PendingDeleteTime, and open positions can be closed from OpenOrderCloseTime.

5. Position protection and order management

Stop: range high/low, profit-box boundary, range midpoint, or fixed point distance.
TP: fixed point distance or R:R-based profit box.
Break-even: after BreakevenPoints of profit.
Trailing: from TrailingStartPoints; TP can either remain or be removed.
FallbackMarketOrder: can reproduce a pending entry as a market order when the pending level has become too close/passed for legal placement.
Buttons: depending on display settings, Close, BE, Pending and version-check actions are available on the chart.

6. Activation and support

The EA uses the new Market-Trader account-based licensing system. There is no licence key to enter inside the EA.

Allow WebRequest: In MetaTrader, open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and allow https://market-trader.de.
Start the EA: Attach it to the desired chart. The trading account and product slug are sent automatically to the licence server.
Check the status: VALID allows new trades. If the licence is invalid, new entries remain blocked while existing positions may continue to be managed.

7. Frequently asked questions

Why were no pending orders placed?

Check the licence, trading day, range calculation, SendPendingAt, spread/range filters, broker minimum distances and whether an existing position blocks placement.

Why was the opposite pending deleted?

This is the OCO behaviour when AllowTwoActiveOrders=false.

What does PartialClosePercent mean?

It defines the profit threshold as a percentage of the range. The volume share is controlled by PartialCloseDivider.
